My heart’s most wanted – Wednesday, February 11th

There are still few public details about an incident late on Monday when an off-duty Baltimore County police officer shot a 14-year-old boy. The officer, working a security job in an apartment complex, was investigating a vacant apartment when he saw someone come out unexpectedly and “his weapon discharged accidentally.” The 14-year-old was shot in the shoulder, was treated at a local hospital and released.


City police are introducing a “Most Wanted” distinction to raise the profile of some (not particularly violent) criminals. The first “Most Wanted” winner? A serial robber of many local convenient stores.


MTA is adding new bus lines to better serve Amazon’s new distribution center in East Baltimore and the Canton Crossing shopping center. Over at the Baltimore Brew, an MTA official gives an unsatisfying explanation of why the new bus tracking system doesn’t work very well.
